Supervision

Supervision services are available with Cynthia Schoppmann, Registered Psychotherapist. Cynthia has been a therapist since 2009 and has extensive experience working with trauma, self-esteem, grief, relationship issues, workplace concerns, among others. Supervision services are available for therapists working with adolescents, adults and couples. Cynthia is trained in EMDR & EFT and pulls from approaches such as CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, attachment, etc. when working with couples and individual clients.

Here is a little more about Cynthia and her approach to supervision:

Having been a therapist who has worked not only in private practice but also in various settings (such as crisis support lines, Kids Help Phone, women’s shelter, Employee Assistance Programs, Victim Services with the Ottawa Police Services, Hope for Wellness (Indigenous support line), local universities, etc.) I have developed a wide-range of experience working with people of different ages and with varied life experiences. I see supervision as an opportunity to share some of my knowledge and skills but also as a way for me to grow as a therapist and clinical supervisor. I find that I gain quite a lot from working and collaborating with others, which is what supervision is all about. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for all those that I supervise as to me this is the foundation of great working relationship.

If you are looking for clinical supervision services and would like to further discuss, I would be happy to speak with you to see if we might be a good fit to working together. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at info@feelingbetter.ca or by completing the form at the bottom of this page.

Supervision services are available for:

Interns (Practicum Students)
Supervision services are available to external students of our practice whose practicum sites do not offer clinical supervision. Supervision services for student interns can be offered two ways:

  • Individual supervision
  • Dyadic supervision – which can be advantageous as it is creates more opportunities to learn, cuts down on the costs for weekly supervision and still counts as individual supervision hours for both your placement with your school and with the CRPO

RP (Qualifying) or RPs
Supervision services are available for both budding new therapists as well as more seasoned clinicians. These can be done a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, based on what you might need. Supervision services can be offered in the following ways:

  • Individual supervision
  • Dyadic supervision
  • Group supervision – monthly small group supervision services are available (no more than 6 per group) meeting for 1.5 hours
