Reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when life feels uncertain, stressful, or emotionally exhausting. Jennifer provides a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you. Jennifer believes that each person’s story, experiences, and strengths are unique, and she works collaboratively with clients to develop goals that are meaningful and practical for their lives.

Jennifer works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional overwhelm. She also supports clients who are navigating important life decisions, transitions, and career and work challenges. Additional areas of focus include relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, burnout, and families using alternative education.

Jennifer also has experience working with individuals navigating complex or high-stress environments such as military members and veterans.

Jennifer’s approach is trauma-informed and integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and narrative therapies. She works from a compassionate, client-centred perspective that values authenticity, self-awareness, and personal growth. Her approach also recognizes the importance of meaning, identity, values, and connection in navigating life’s challenges. She supports clients in exploring not only coping strategies, but also deeper questions related to purpose, identity, relationships, and direction in life.

“My professional background and life experiences as a parent and educator have shaped my understanding of resilience, identity, and the importance of feeling heard and understood. I value creating a therapeutic relationship rooted in empathy, authenticity, collaboration, and respect. I believe in the power of nature and the outdoors in healing. My approach focuses not only on helping you navigate current challenges, but also on building self-awareness, confidence, and practical tools that support long-term well-being.”

Jennifer welcomes adolescents, adults, couples, and families and is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where clients feel supported throughout their therapy process.
